Root Canal Therapy

What Is a Root Canal?

Root canal therapy is a highly effective, routine procedure used to save natural teeth and eliminate infection. Each year, millions of patients choose root canal treatment as a reliable alternative to tooth extraction, implants, or bridges.

Inside every tooth is soft tissue called pulp, which contains nerves and blood vessels that support tooth development. When this tissue becomes inflamed or infected due to deep decay, cracks, repeated dental work, or injury, it can cause significant discomfort and lead to serious complications if left untreated.

Common symptoms may include:

  • Sensitivity to hot or cold

  • Pain when chewing

  • Persistent toothaches

  • Swelling or tenderness in the gums

If you experience any of these symptoms, your dentist may recommend non-surgical root canal therapy to remove the infected tissue and restore your tooth’s health.

What to Expect During Treatment

During root canal therapy, the damaged pulp is carefully removed, and the inside of the tooth is cleaned, disinfected, and sealed to prevent future infection. Using advanced imaging and microscopic techniques, our specialists perform this procedure with exceptional precision and comfort.

Treatment is typically completed under local anesthesia and may require one or more visits, depending on your individual case. Most patients report minimal discomfort and are able to return to their normal routine shortly after treatment.

Root canal therapy has a high success rate, helping preserve natural teeth in the vast majority of cases. If your tooth is not a good candidate for treatment, we will discuss all available options with you during your consultation.

After Your Treatment

Once your procedure is complete, we will send a detailed treatment report to your restorative dentist. You should schedule a follow-up appointment within a few weeks to complete your final restoration, such as a crown, to protect and strengthen your tooth.

Post-treatment complications are rare. However, our team remains available should you have any concerns or questions during recovery.

To maintain long-term results, we recommend continuing excellent oral hygiene habits, including regular brushing, flossing, and professional cleanings.

Our Commitment to Your Care

Our goal is to deliver advanced, patient-centered endodontic care in a calm, supportive environment. We combine modern technology, clinical expertise, and personalized attention to help you feel confident and comfortable at every stage of treatment.
